Tue. May 22 to Sun. May 27, NatureCity Festival a free week-long festival featuring over 50 events to help you discover, explore and experience nature in Saskatoon!

Wed. May 23, Saskatoon Police Service Community Information Night 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Community Room 76 25th St. E.  An informative evening with guest speakers from scan and the Guns and Gangs Unit.

Fri. June 1, Thornton Park Spray Pad opens.

Tue. June 5 7:00 p.m. QEXCA Directors' meeting at Kisavos Restaurant. Directors' meetings are open to all residents of the Community.

Sat. June 9 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Community Clean-up 600 block 4th St. E.
Anyone interested in helping with the clean-up can meet on the street to split up and collect garbage and debris from the street and back alleys. For information, contact Josh.

Wed. June 13, Lathey Pool opens.

Fri. June 22 Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Powwow 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Thornton Park (Willow St. at McPherson Ave.)

Tue. July 3 Summer Playground Programs begin at Thornton and W.W. Ashley Parks.

We’re compiling a babysitter list for the next issue of our newsletter. If you’d like to be included in the list, please, email, and provide us with the following info:

Whether or not you’ve completed the babysitter’s training course through the Canadian Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance or the Saskatchewan Safety Council.

Looking to grow a garden?
There are two Community Gardens in the QEXCA Community: Queen Elizabeth School and Aden Bowman Collegiate!
A community garden provides neighbourhood residents and families with the opportunity to become engaged in a healthy recreation activity while growing nutritious food, meeting neighbours, learning about the growing cycle and beautifying open space.

A new use for the Glengarda Residence, 301 Hilliard St. E.
St. Paul's Hospital has purchased the property and is proceeding with the development of a hospice.
